I am an apparel designer exploring the relationship between storytelling and construction. My work combines technical craftsmanship with a narrative approach, creating garments that are both functional and expressive. With a background in journalism, I design with intention. I consider how ideas and emotion can be embedded within a garment through material, shape, and process. I see fashion as both an artistic language and a means of connection between the wearer and the piece, aspiring to make every piece mean something to someone. When I am not sewing, designing, styling, or using adobe, I am playing music. I taught myself the bass and guitar in high school, and ever since I have developed a love for playing and listening to music. I have been in multiple bands, ranging from a feminist punk band to an indie-rock band, both in which I played bass, guitar, and sang lead. I released a cover album with the band Pink Tax, as well as three original songs under my own name. Music has often been an influence for my designs, as the songs and artists open my eyes to new ideas. Truly, I am addicted to creativity. I thrive when I am painting, drawing, playing music, sewing, or doing any sort of craft. Over the years I have made miniature magazines, released songs, painted, made jewelry, and so much more. I find myself the most comfortable and content when I am creating, and I am beyond happy that I found a path that allows me to create for a living.
